You know about the Rijksmuseum, the Van Gogh, the Hermitage and the Stedelijk from your guide books. Here are some place that may not be the most visited, yet very nice museums to visit.
The Royal Palace
Amsterdam’s Royal Palace is in the heart of the city, on Dam Square. It has been placed at the Queen’s disposal by Act of Parliament. You can visit the Palace daily. Guided tours are conducted by qualified art historians or students.
Our Lord in the Attic
